Alice...

The Royal Ballet is presenting a new full length ballet of Alice in Wonderland created by Christopher Wheeldon and starring Lauren Cuthbertson... the set, the costumes and the choreography look stunning. Homage to the original illustrations by John Tenniel are seen in the character of the Cheshire Cat.

Looks amazing... I must go and see it... here's the link to the trailer.... http://www.roh.org.uk/video/index.html?bcpid=1733261711&bclid=1740131613&bctid=640901180001

This Time Last Week...

I was lucky enough to see the lovely Katy Perry in concert in Birmingham. I didn't go with any expectations... but oh my I was overwhelmed at how amazing the night was!!

The stage was covered in huge candy and a spiral stair case it was very quirky and kitsch, there was a short film throughout to link the songs which had an Alice In Wonderland feel to it and her costumes, which she changed nearly every song (and in on song changed about 20 times on stage) were beautiful and I wanted them all.

One of my favourite parts was during 'Not Like The Movies' when she sat on a flower covered swing and the massive train on her dress was lifted to form a 12ft screen where old style cartoon clips of little birds kissing were projected onto it! Stunning!

Amazing night!!

Brighton...

A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to have a little weekend away in Brighton with my lovely friends Shannon, Paul and Adam. It was a fab weekends and we had a bit too much fun! I love visiting Brighton, there is so much to see and do and never enough time to do everything. One of my favourite things about Brighton is the beautiful West Pier... every time I go back it seems to be a little less of it than the last time i saw it.. it will be so sad when it is no longer there!
