Today thousands off people will have taken part in the the annual Memory Walk across England, Wales and Northern Ireland to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society to help them support the fight against dementia.I took part in our local event organised by the Alzheimer's group I volunteer at. It was a great little event, the Mayor of Newport Pagnell turned up to start the walk which was one lap of Willen lake. There was a good turn out and the group managed to raise £1000 for the charity from raffle tickets and donations given while we walked, sponsorship monies will be added on later.
