Save the Bunnies...

Today I received a message in my Folksy account (I have a little online shop at Folksy, which is a website where you can buy handmade things and showcases talented makers and their craft) from a lady called Anna asking if I would be interested in listing my 'White Winter Bunny' on a new website being set up called http://www.thehandmadebunny.com/ an online shop selling handmade bunny items, it will be non-profit making with all monies going to the Rabbit Welfare Association. I replied saying I'm definitely in as I love bunnies, I get to show my work and the money will go to charity...Perfect!

So bookmark the page and I'm sure it will be up and running in no time!

Food & Travel...

Last night whilst searching the web for ideas for 100 must see places and things to do before you die, I stumbled across this fabulous looking book called 'Food Journeys of a Lifetime: 500 Extraordinary Places to Eat Around the Globe. It combines food and travel... Love it, great idea!

There are chapters on the worlds greatest markets and food bazzars, National dishes, street food, ultimate luxuries (once in a lifetime treats), the best wine and beer and a whole chapter dedicated to just desserts! Check it out at Amazon and take a look inside, the photography is really vibrant and inspiring.

Head in the clouds

We went on a mini roadtrip to Lincoln this hot weekend and on the long drive back I couldn't help but lose myself in the clouds, they filled the sky and I couldn't take my eyes off them. My mind wondered and I started thinking of all the amazing things I'm going to see and do when I'm out in Vietnam and what an amazing experience I'm going to have out there.

I couldn't help but to take a photo through the car window whilst we drove along, (very much inspired by the work of Linda McCartney when she shot 'Roadworks') to remind me of the day that the clouds sent me into a beautiful daydream.

Broken...

Broken toe and broken camera :-(

When I took my camera out my bag to shoot my photo of the day for my '365 day project' the display screen had smashed, very sad times. Then I broke my toe when getting up to see to my little cat's food demands in the early hours! Not a good day!

However, my lovely boyfriend has kindly offered to lend me his camera until I get mine fixed! Yay... snap happy again!

101 list...

I have finally got round to uploading my 101 list to the offical Day Zero Project website, so it is no longer just on scraps of paper lying around my house. www.dayzeroproject.com/user/RoseTinted
Fingers crossed I manage to complete all of them in the 1001 days!

To do list...

  1. Find and book Vietnam flights
  2. Sell my unwanted clothes and accessories on ebay to help raise funds
  3. Go and meet the Soup Runners and book in my time with them
  4. Contact Age UK Milton Keynes to let them know my availability
  5. Contact doctors to see what jabs I need for Hula and Vietnam and when I need to have them
  6. Buy Lonely Planet Guide to Vietnam
  7. Set up a Flickr account www.flickr.com so everyone can view my photos
  8. Fill out my 101 list on www.dayzeroproject.com , which is my list of 101 things I want to achieve in 1001 days

Inspiration for the day!

My good friend Amanda bought this for my birthday... I love looking at it in the mornings!
